My "challenging" class got weirdly into these Wanted: Functions posters while I was gone. Can't wait to get into these later.
Trying to figure out rational functions. I'm heading to Dubai for a workshop, so nothing for the rest of the week from school.
Missed the post yesterday because my shoulder was killing me, but this is the seniors working on conditional prob. using venns with different circles.
Some more work with timers today: focused partner time, focused individual time. Just 5 min for now. These geometry ss are summarizing knowledge of congruence and practicing well-reasoned and justified responses.
Had one of those moments today where you remember lessons you've already learned about teaching but haven't been using so far in the year. Focusing student attention on tasks with short, timed, chunked activities and clear, explicit instructions. Even applied it to my own work habits, and it worked for me, too! No more planning period haze, time to get focused! For example, I've got less than five minutes left to post this!
